Originally lit in 1790 with 16 oil lamps, Portland Head Light is Maine’s oldest lighthouse. The US Coast Guard now maintains the light and fog horn. The property was deeded to the town of Cape Elizabeth in 1993 and is now part of Ft. Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
