Competitive Listing Advantage – getting a jump on a recovery market

Recently, our MLS’s have altered the rules around allowing active listings to be posted (and therefore syndicated to all the sites: Masiello.com, Realtor.com, Zillow, etc) even if sellers do not want to entertain showings.

This is a unique opportunity for prospective sellers with plans to sell in 2020 to get a jump on a recovery market

Please check with your Sales Director and Business Support Specialist for advice on how to:

  1. list properties using virtual tools

  2. produce, share and post on-line video walk-throughs

  3. hold virtual showings & open houses

  4. accept & present virtual offers

Currently, here is a synopsis of the various MLS rules for active listings:

  1. NEREN (NH & VT): allows for a 30 day no-showing period for active listings

  2. MREIS (ME): listings can be active and not allow for showings at this time

  3. MLSPIN (MA): for the duration of the Governor’s emergency order, listings can be posted as active without showings

Anyone considering putting their home on the market this Spring should be aware of this competitive advantage now.

Please see your Sales Director for more info.

Learning Sessions

As mentioned yesterday, we’re running a series of learning sessions over the next coming weeks. These short sessions on a variety of topics you can use right now while working remotely.

We’ve put a calendar at the top of the COVID-19 page. Click on each event to find the Zoom link. Each event will be recorded, and we will post the recordings right in that same calendar for easy reference. Recordings will also be posted to our searchable Learning Library.
